When I had the idea to do another EP after the accident, I knew that I wanted to come out swinging with the hardest, fastest track I could muster up. This was the first song I wrote for it. I ultimately decided that it didn't fit the theme of the record, and quite honestly, the lyrics are kinda tough-guy bullshit, I am NOT a tough guy.... I'm a resilient one. So I wrote "Whiplash" to take its place, and decided that I was gonna be more honest with that set of lyrics, rather than the fake macho-spew that is depicted here.
